In the darkness
a spark awakens

Jacob’s path
unfolds within me

The river behind me,
the sky before me

Bowing to Esau,
passing through
the river

Blessed Jacob
Blessed Esau

Becoming whole
before God

Work completed,
work beginning –
the sun rises upon him

Walking alongside Jacob,
I learn to walk in peace with
Yisrael
