Having hardly anything in common (after Kafka)

Having hardly anything in common
with myself —
I keep trying,
promising that tomorrow
will be the day
Or maybe the next

A fool, some would say,
to act this way —
except that
they do the same

If Abraham is a myth
then Adam and Eve
are too —
so then am I

If we are created
in God's image —
is that then 
also a myth
