Where We Remember We Are One
A gathering of souls
called by different names —
Religious,
Spiritual,
People of faith —
But beneath the names
a single longing
moves.
Joy —
as the quiet radiance
that hums beneath our togetherness.
We wander among rules,
we wander among beliefs,
we cling to meanings.
Sometimes we lose
that Holy thread.
It waits —
like a spark beneath ash,
like breath before speech —
waiting to enter our hearts
as One Heart.
No matter our private ache,
no matter our shared sorrow,
the dream has not left us.
The dream of opening —
of dissolving the edges,
of remembering
that Love has no boundary,
that Joy has no end.
It waits for us.
It has always been waiting.
