Sadness and Light

trying to write a poem 
about my sadness -
the fear is palpable as I 
think about the future 

i have no answers to this 
and won't spend time in blame
for now all I can do is feel 
sadness and pain

attempting  to put
my thoughts aside to see 
if I have JOY inside 
seems so far away 
but maybe, maybe today 

there is light through the darkness
that is what we say
i believe that for sure though
cloudiness hides the way 

breathing into my heart
i feel the CALM and JOY 
where the small voice lay
it only took a moment to find 
as grace led the way
