Sadness and Light

Trying to write a poem 
about my sadness -

The fear is palpable as I 
think about the future.

I have no answers to this 
and won't spend time in blame
for now all I can do is feel 
sadness and pain.

I try to put my thoughts aside
to see if joy lives inside.
It feels so far away 
but maybe, maybe today.  

There is light through the darkness —
or so we say.
I believe it for sure though
cloudiness hides the way. 

Breathing into my heart
I feel the calm, I touch joy
where the small voice waits.
It only took a moment to find,
as grace led the way
